Finding the Perfect Fit

I've never really bought into the "buying insanely expensive handbag" trend, not that I don't wish for one, but I often find myself constantly changing purses--from color to color and alternating between clutches and big bags--that my husband's pocket book wouldn't be able to keep up with my taste! The newest addition to a full closet is my small green wristlet by Coach. (My mother-in-law bought this wristlet for me for only $27!)

It's just the right size for my credit cards, ID, lip gloss and my cell phone! It's not very big, but it's amazing what all I can get in it! Coach has many fun colors --

It's the perfect little splurge! Let me know what you think!

Websites I love....

I just wanted to make a quick online shopping recommendation. I absolutely love Etsy.
It's basically an adorable and fabulous online flea market or craft show. It gives creative people an outlet for their merchandise. I have found many things that I love and it's constantly updating and changing, not just every season. Here are a few things that I found...

They have got a variety of original artwork for great low prices. The one above is actually a print but for such a low price it's a great deal!

Available at:

I love the antique look of this locket. The details are actually engraved on.

This is a website really worth exploring. You never know what you will find!
Happy surfing!

High Definition Gift Sets

One of my favorite things to buy are gift sets. If I can get more goodies for less money, then I'm all about it. Right now Clinique has an "Eye Definition" set with mascara, makeup remover, and eyeliner.

Dillard's: http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=301&langId=-1&storeId=301&productId=501761011&view=80&N=1000420+2010063&searchUrl=%2Fendeca%2FEndecaStartServlet%3Fview%3D80%26N%3D1000420%2B2010063&R=02911297

My favorite item in the set is the "High Definition Lashes Brush Then Comb" mascara. I hate when my eye lashes get clumpy and stuck together when I put on mascara. The great thing about this mascara is that it has a brush on one side and a comb on the other. The comb gets all those clumps out and leaves your lashes looking fabulous.

The gift set has the liquid cleanser, but I highly recommend trying out the cleansing balm.

(If you buy the cleanser from Belk, you'll be able to receive a free 7 piece Clinique gift set!) Belk Department Stores: http://www.belk.com/AST/Boutiques/Boutiques_Primary/Clinique/Skin_Care/Cleansers/PRD~59000536CY4/Clinique+Take+The+Day+Off+Cleansing+Balm.jsp?off=2

Try these things out and enjoy looking fabulous!

Jes

Plaid: Making Its Way Back

When I think of plaid, thoughts of cowboys and kilts come to mind, but fortunately, this isn't the case for Spring trends. Plaid is making a come back on to fashion runways in many different forms. It took me a couple minutes to get use to the idea, but when I saw a yellow paid button down that had a very feminine touch (frilly ruffles) to it, I didn't even hesitate to impulsively buy it. But I did hesitate to wear it. I wore it a few days later and surprisingly got many compliments. Since plaid is back, I might as well embrace it. Here are a couple cute ways to incorporate the print into your wardrobe.

Available at Urban Outfitters: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=15985146&cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Womens-_-Dresses-_-Silence+%26+Noise+Buffalo+Plaid+Dress

I liked this top because five of the seven days of the week I have to dress up. This shirt would be a fun way to sneak in a trendy style in with a business casual look.

With swim suit season almost around the corner, this would be something fun for the summer.

If you're not quite sure about the bold design start small with a scarf or a handbag.

Let me know if plaid is making its way back into your closet! Have a great weekend!!
XOXO,
Jessica

Keepin Warm

Like I have said before I love cardigans for this spring. I have scoped out some cute options and I have been keeping prices in mind because sweaters can be pretty pricey.

I think that this one is really cute and fitted. I love the color and the deep v. There are other color options available also.

Available at:

I love the comfy look of this one. The small pockets are a nice touch.

I love the metallic details on this cardigan. I also love the bright color of this and it's on sale! Only 10 dollars!

Hope you enjoy the cardigans! Let me know if you like them.

Origins Hits the Spot

My newest favorite product, the most amazing blemish remover ever--Origins Spot Remover. This product works like a champ. I had a couple spots coming up (definitely one of those weeks) and I needed to get rid of them fast. With a q-tip, I applied a little bit on the spot first thing in the morning and then right before I went to bed. By the next day, my blemish was almost completely gone. (It was definitely ten times better than what it was.)

My medicine cabinet is full of face cream products, prescribed acne medicines, mud masks, and make-up removers, but Origins Spot Remover has been my first choice to get me out of a tight spot. The product has Salicylic Acid in it to speed up the healing and Oregano and Clove Buds to help reduce redness. It's definitely strong and I don't recommend using it on any other part of your face except the blemish, because it will dry out your skin. Apply with a q-tip for best results.

Origins has a 10ml bottle online for only $12. http://www.origins.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY5794&PRODUCT_ID=PROD43
You can also find the product at your local department stores such as Dillard's and Macys or visit an Origins store in the mall. Ask for a small sample at the Origins counter to try it out.

A couple other noteworthy products from Origins--

Clear Improvement charol mask, it clears your pores and leaves your face feeling refreshed. I use it once a week to get my face feeling clean.

Another absolute favorite, carry-it-around-in-my-purse favorite is Peace of Mind On-the-Spot-Relief. This product has the power to calm and heal headaches almost instantly. It's got a hint of peppermint oil that gives your skin a nice tingly sensation. I rub this on the back of my neck and my temples to feel relief. My sister-in-law had a bad headache and didn't have any medicine around, so I talked her into using a little bit of this and it surprisingly took her headache away. Great product, it's even good to use before you go to bed.

I could go on and on about Origins products. Check out their website www.origins.com I recommend looking at the A Perfect World Deep Cleaner and A Perfect World Moisturizer. Let me know what you think! They're all great products and I love 'em.

Cheers,
Jessica

Spring 2009 Colors!

I have been browsing around for which colors I would be investing in for spring... And I finally found a few of my favorites.

Lemon Yellow

I love this shirt for layering. It would work great with a light cardigan over it for chilly spring mornings. And it's only 10 dollars!

Available at:

I also love this over sized tote. The material is perfect for rainy days. I also really like the idea of doing a large bag in punchy colors. It can brighten up a boring work outfit. I actually got this one for my birthday, so I will let you know if it holds up!

Available at:

Royal Blue

I love all the open front cardigans this season and this one is just the right color!

Available at:

This shirt would be great with a pair of skinny jeans and sparkly flats. It would also be fun to accessorize this outfit with several necklaces.

Available at:

Neutral Grey

I think that one reason I love grey so much this season is for the cardigans. I love the simple elegance of a casual cardigan over a white T paired with jeans. It says casual and pulled together.

Available at:

This shirt is long and just fitted enough to make it a little dressy. I really like the gathering and the heather shade.

Available at:

I may change my mind and add some other fun colors to the list, but so far these are my top picks!
What colors do you like for Spring?
